I knew straight away after surgery with you that my mind was clear and alert & that I would be fine. Before that, the pressure on the cord and the brain (interlinked) was severe as I was struggling at times many weeks before surgery. It was unreal as I understood some of the men who had it posted on-line (who had similar problems to mine) had contemplated suicide at some stage. Prior to your surgery I was debating whether to go for hernia/groin surgery or left robotic neurolysis surgery. It was only an e-mail discussion with Mr Bruce Rosenberg that gave away one comment that struck me: Patients who went first with hernia or groin surgery, and then neurolysis secondarily didn’t work out at all for them. So my intuition told me go for Neurolysis first and then hernia redo at a later stage although it was a risk that I took because I have no way of knowing for sure or any track record of men doing that approach. I’m really glad that I did this approach.
Kind regards,
